Day 1: Chandigarh to Srinagar – Start Your Kashmir Adventure
Your tour begins with a pickup from Chandigarh. The distance from Chandigarh to Srinagar is about 565 km and takes around 13 hours to reach. The journey is long but filled with scenic mountain views and fresh air.
After reaching Srinagar, check into your hotel or houseboat. In the evening, enjoy the peaceful beauty of Dal Lake to enjoy the sunset.
Day 2: Srinagar Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, explore the beauty of Srinagar city. Visit famous attractions like:
Mughal Gardens
Nishat Bagh
Shalimar Bagh
These gardens are known for colorful flowers, fountains, and mountain backdrops.
Shankaracharya Temple
A peaceful temple located on a hilltop with panoramic views of Srinagar.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Srinagar to Sonamarg
After breakfast, travel to Sonamarg, one of the most beautiful valleys in Kashmir. It is about 84 kms and takes around 3 hours to reach. It is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg. Sonamarg is also known as the Gateway of Ladakh. Sonamarg is famous for its natural beauty, alpine flowers, sycamore silver birch and pine tree. After lots of fun we came back to the hotel.
Day 4: Sonamarg to Gulmarg
After breakfast, proceed to Gulmarg, India’s top hill station for snow sports. Its about 139 kms and takes around 5 hours to reach. Gulmarg is famous for the golf course with 18 holes and has one of the best ski slopes in the world. Return to hotel for overnight stay in Gulmarg or Srinagar.
Day 5: Gulmarg to Pahalgam
After breakfast, head towards Pahalgam from Gulmarg. It is about 149 kms and takes around 5 hours to reach. On the way, visit Saffron fields and Avantipur ruins ( Eleven years old temple).
Pahalgam is famous for its peaceful environment, pine forests, lidder River, and beautiful valleys. Overnight stay at Pahalgam hotel.
Day 6: Pahalgam Local Sightseeing
Having breakfast at the hotel.
Visit:
Betaab Valley:- A famous valley known for Bollywood film shoots and natural beauty.
Aru Valley:- A calm place surrounded by mountains, perfect for photography and peace.
Chandanwari:- Starting point of the Amarnath Yatra.
Day 7: Pahalgam to Chandigarh
After breakfast, start your return journey from Pahalgam to Chandigarh (555 kms & takes 12 hours) with lots of wonderful memories. This marks the end of your unforgettable Kashmir tour filled with mountains, lakes, valleys, and joyful moments.
